Community Awareness of Drugs Education Day: “Drugs – What you need to know in 2015”

Date: Friday March 27th, 2015

Training Venue:  Purcell House Conference Centre, All Hallows College, Gracepark Road, D9.

This one day drug education programme is designed to cater for ‘new to post ‘, volunteers and existing community workers.  It will be an opportunity for participants to update their knowledge of drugs related matters.

The morning session by Dr. Des Corrigan (Government and EU Drugs Advisor) will cover current Trends in Drug Use including information on MDVP, ‘Bonsai Super Sleep’ and other designer benzo’s.

The afternoon session will begin with Gary Broderick, Director of The SAOL Women’s Project in the North Inner City.  His presentation, Who’s stuck? Me, you or both of us: What to do when change is not happening – has been well received on previous occasions.

Gary’s presentation will be followed by Clients from Coolmine TC and parents from their Family Association all of whom will share their personal experiences with the group.

Option A:  Morning Only ( Tea /Coffee) €40.00 or €30.00 concession

Option B:   Full Day (including lunch) €60.00 or €50.00 concession
