ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services national conference

To mark its 40th year, ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services will host a national conference in Limerick to discuss critical and emerging issues relating to Domestic Abuse and Violence in Ireland.

Speakers will include:
• Minister for State, Aodhán O’Riordáin
• Dr Julie McGarry (University of Nottingham)
• Niall Mulldoon (Ombudsman for Children)
• Norah Gibbons (Chairperson, TUSLA Child & Family Agency)
• Monica O’Connor (Researcher & Consultant)
• Marguerite Clancy (HSE Senior Researcher, National Safeguarding Office)
• Gary Broderick (Director, SAOL Addiction Project, Dublin)
• Dr Michele O'Flanagan (Limerick Institute of Technology)
• Dr Susan Leahy (University of Limerick)

Themes discussed will include:
• Children, Young People and Domestic abuse
• Domestic Abuse in Later Life
• Health Implications of Domestic Abuse
• Legal Protection from Domestic Abuse
• Facing the Future – Protecting Victims of Domestic Abuse
