We have moved!

The drugs.ie service has transferred from Crosscare Drug and Alcohol Programme, Dublin, to the Ana Liffey Drug Project, Dublin.

Crosscare Drug and Alcohol Programme have facilitated the development of the drugs.ie service, in partnership with the HSE, under an initial three year service level agreement. The agreement was to develop the service to a high standard and to then transfer the service at the end of this three year period.  During the course of the three year service level agreement, significant redesign and redevelopment work was also completed. In undertaking this additional work, Crosscare extended its involvement with the project for a further year - to ensure that the project achieved a level of excellence before mainstreaming.

Crosscare Drug and Alcohol Programme are satisfied that the initial goals and objectives of the project have been successfully achieved, and having engaged in a process to identify a suitable organisation to manage and further develop the drugs.ie service, the transfer of drugs.ie from Crosscare to Ana Liffey has now been completed.

The drugs.ie management team would like to take this opportunity to thank Crosscare Drug and Alcohol Programme for the important work to date, in making drugs.ie the significant resource that it is today. In completing this piece of work, Crosscare Drug and Alcohol Programme have created a highly valuable online resource for the general public, and for those working in the drug and alcohol sector in Ireland. The Ana Liffey Drug Project is fully committed to building on this work, and is excited at the prospect of taking the project to the next level.

On-going management and development of drugs.ie will now be based from Ana Liffey’s premises at 48 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1.
