The Dublin North East Drugs Task Force: Invite to Tender

Tender for the delivery of Strengthening Families Programme in DNEDTF Area.

The Dublin North East Drugs Task Force invites tenders from Organizations, consortiums and individuals to deliver on behalf of the DNEDTF the Strengthening Families Programme.

The Strengthening Families Programme is a 14-session, science-based parenting skills, children's life skills, and family life skills training programme specifically designed for high-risk families. Parents and children participate in SFP, both separately and together. SFP consists of parenting skills, children's life skills, and family skills training courses taught together in fourteen 2-hours group sessions preceded often with a meal that includes informal family practice time and group leader coaching.

SFP aims to reduce multiple risk factors for alcohol and drug abuse, mental health problems and delinquency and to improve social competencies and school performance by increasing family strengths, children’s social competencies and improving parents parenting skills. SFP has previously been delivered in various setting such as schools, drug treatment centres, family and youth service agencies, child protection and foster care agencies, community mental health centers, housing projects, homeless shelters, churches, Probation and prisons in the U.S and other countries.
