Night for drugs film funding

A table quiz will be held at Cubins nightclub on Friday 6 August to raise funds for a feature film in Cork that will raise awareness about the dangers of drugs.

The film is being created by recovering drug addict, Philip McCarthy from Cork City, who has set up Hawthorn Films.

The movie, called The Vein Within, will also feature Don Baker, and actors from projects such as King Arthur, the Tudors and Fair City. While the majority of cast and crew and donating their time for free, the project is in need of funding for public liability insurance, equipment hire and other expenses.
