MS patients could get cannabis drug

It is taken as a mouth spray and can help to alleviate the symptoms of spasticity (when the muscles spasm) associated with Multiple Sclerosis. It's not currently authorised in Ireland although it was suggested last year that there may be plans to apply for a licence here.

Sativex is a medical drug that contains whole cannabis plant extract and is licensed in the UK, Spain and Canada. It is taken as a mouth spray and can help to alleviate the symptoms of spasticity (when the muscles spasm) associated with Multiple Sclerosis.....
