Irish Cancer Society anti-tobacco conference for young people

On Wednesday, June 23rd 2010, X-HALE and the Irish Cancer Society are hosting a one-day conference where young people can learn more about tobacco-related issues and air their views and concerns. The conference is being held at Croke Park, Dublin, registration starts at 9am. Visit the Irish Cancer Society website for the full programme

About The Irish Cancer Society
The Irish Cancer Society are committed to preventing cancer and one of their main goals is to reduce the uptake of smoking amongst young people. In this regard they have set up a Smoke Free Youth Led initiative. The initiative is aimed at young people aged 12-18 years. They believe that in order to reduce smoking amongst young people it is vital to involve young people in a hands-on capacity in initiatives aimed at young people.
