ICGP backs Steering Group’s calls to limit access to alcohol

The ICGP has backed calls to make it more difficult for consumers to buy alcohol, as recommended by last month’s Steering Group Report on a National Substance Misuse Strategy.

The College’s Council, which has endorsed the recent report, was especially concerned about the burden of disease that was associated with alcohol abuse, Chairman Dr John Delap told Irish Medical Times.
