Funky Seomra 4th Birthday

Celebrating four years dancin’

The Funky Seomra is an over 18's alcohol and drug free nightclub, running monthly in Dublin since 2008 and seasonally in Galway. It was created by young Irish people to have a viable, sustainable and healthy alternative night out. People of all ages and backgrounds have been attending over the past 3 years with growing attendances.

Each Funky Seomra event includes an organic cafe, live musical accompaniment (e.g. drumming), an interactive art zone, giant games area, chill out area with massage and shiatsu, and face painting on special occasions. Described as '.. amazing, like a mini festival or mini Electric Picnic without the booze!' on the Dave Fanning Show, our aim has been to create a festival like atmosphere without alcohol or drugs.

The Funky Seomra celebrates its 4th birthday with an event in the RDS Concert Hall, Dublin, on 22nd September 2012.

If you’re a bit tight for cash, there’s volunteering opportunities to help the organisers setup for the June 9th event. Funky Seomra volunteers are called ‘Chocolateers’, due to the Thank You gift from the organisers.
