Drugs helpline email support service

The Drugs/HIV Helpline-1800 459 459 is a free and confidential national helpline service run by the HSE.

The helpline offers support, information, guidance and referral to anyone with a question or concern related to drug or alcohol use and/or HIV and sexual health. Most calls to the helpline are from individuals, partners and family members as well as professionals working in the area of addiction and sexual health.

The Helpline has recently started offering an Helpline Email Support Service, through the helplines email address: drugshiv@hse.ie. The drugs helpline invite you and your service users to contact them by phone or email. The Helpline opening  hours are Monday to Friday, between 10am and 5pm. The helpline team aim to respond to each email within 3 working days.
