Drug use in Wexford costing €15m a year

A reception held last Saturday to launch the expanded services of the Cornmarket Project into New Ross, Enniscorthy and Gorey heard that an estimated €15 million a year is now being spent on illegal drug use throughout County Wexford.

The event was attended by the minister with responsibility for the national drugs strategy Pat Carey along with junior minister Sean Connick and the Lord Mayor of Wexford Cllr. Joe Ryan.

Also present were Brendan Howlin TD, Cllr. Anthony Kelly, Cllr. Fergie Kehoe, Cllr. Davy Hynes, Cllr. Philomena Roche, Cllr. Michael Sheen and Cllr. Tony Dempsey.
