Drug cocktails ‘becoming normal’, says Cork consultant

Taking cocktails of drugs is becoming commonplace in Ireland, according to an emergency department head.

Dr Chris Luke, a consultant in emergency medicine in Cork University Hospital and the Mercy Hospital also said that women and men are equally likely to take 'poly-substances'.

Recent figures reveal that drug-related deaths in Ireland are the third highest amongst 30 European countries.
