Community conference on intoxicating liquor bill

As part of Bray Drugs Awareness Month, a community conference was held last week in the Wilton Hotel.

The aim of the day was to examine the new intoxicating liquor bill, explore the development of new strategies and priorities and look at how it links into the National Drugs Strategy.

The conference was chaired by Detective Superintendent Barry O'Brien with a number of speakers including Fiona Ryan - Executive Director of Alcohol Action Ireland.

Local publican Anne Marie Holland also spoke at the event, while there were focus grops held on the day.

For more information on the topic, contact the Bray Local Drugs Task Force on (01) 2865981.
