Cllrs left frustrated by lack of info on county’s drug problem

Frustration was expressed following a presentation by the Midlands Regional Drugs Task Force (MRDTF) to Laois County Council and Portlaoise Joint Policing Committee (JPC) members after a representative of the drugs agency did not have an idea of how many people were on the waiting list for drug treatment in the county.

Why is a development worker with the MRDTF being targeted, just so that Cllrs can avert from the real issue - What are they going to do about the waiting list? What plan do they have?  this is not a new issue, there will always be WAITING LISTS,  just like there will always be people averting from the REAL ISSUE, by instead focusing on staff in the sector who are doing their job.
