Ballymun Local Drugs and Alcohol Task Force Prevention and Education Sub -Committee Webinar

The BLDATF Prevention and Education Sub-Committee will host a webinar on Nitrous Oxide for professionals working with young people in Ireland on Monday 24th August, 10.00 to 11.30.

This webinar will provide an overview of nitrous oxide with Dr Suzi Gage, Psychologist and Epidemiologist and author of 'Say Why to Drugs: Everything You Need to Know About the Drugs We Take and Why We Get High', the Irish experience with Nicki Killeen, National Social Inclusion Office, Health Service Executive and the local experience with Jimmy Bell, Youth Drugs Worker, Ballymun Regional Youth Resource. 

Nitrous Oxide has been raised as an issue of concern in Ireland in recent months. This webinar provides an opportunityfor workers to learn more about nitrous oxide and the current situation in Ireland and reflections from a local perspective.  

This webinar is aimed at professionals working with young people in Ireland. This webinar is open  for registration and will be of particular interest to those working in drug and alcohol services, as well as youth services, youth workers, schools, Youthreach, Schools Completion Programmes, Garda Youth Diversion Programmes,  Task Force staff and members.
