UISCE International Overdose Awareness Day Special

The Union for Improved Services, Communication and Education (UISCE) are back with an International Overdose Awareness Day 2019 edition of the Brass Munkie magazine.

"We know it is difficult to read about this. We all have lost too many loved ones due to drug-related deaths. In 2016 alone, 354 people died in Ireland due to drug overdoses"

In this issue, UISCE want to show you how to respond to an opioid overdose. From identifying the signs of an opioid overdose to administering NALOXONE and potentially saving a life. We want every person who uses drugs in Ireland to know what Naloxone is, where to get it and how to administer.
