Level 3 restrictions on indoor events

From Saturday 19 September, Dublin City and County will be at level 3 of restrictions. This is to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Under level 3 restrictions, no organised indoor gatherings should take place in line with public health guidance.

Organised indoor gatherings are "controlled environments with a named event organiser, owner or manager". For example: business, training events, conferences, events in theatres and cinemas or other arts events (excluding sport). These restrictions also apply to drug and alcohol support group meetings such as NA,CA, AA, Smart Recovery and other similar groups. Please contact service providers for further information in relation to their services.

Over 70 or medically vulnerable

People living in Dublin who are over 70 years of age or medically vulnerable should take extra care to protect themselves. This is because of the high level of the virus in the county.

Stay at home as much as possible and limit social contacts. Use your best judgement to stay safe when you are meeting others and leaving your home.

Travel

You should only travel within Dublin county.

Stay in Dublin unless you have to leave for education, work and other essential purposes.

Where possible, do not share your car or other private vehicles with people from outside your household.

Do not use public transport unless it is absolutely necessary - walk or cycle instead if possible. By law, you must wear a face covering on public transport.
