HSE Drugs and Alcohol Helpline Christmas Opening Hours

The HSE provide the Drugs and Alcohol Helpline and the HIV and Sexual Health Helpline services. Both are accessible through the Freephone number 1800 459 459 or by temail support from helpline@hse.ie.

The Helpline provides support, information, guidance and referral to anyone with a question or concern related to drug and alcohol use and/or HIV and sexual health. The service is non-judgemental and offers space to talk about your situation, to explore some options and to consider your needs. During calls/ emails, staff refer to a database of over 400 services nationwide

The Helplines regular opening hours are Mondays to Fridays, 9.30am to 5.30pm.

Christmas opening hours

Over Christmas. the Helpline will close on Christmas Day, St Stephens Day and New Years Day.

Christmas week:

Mon 24th Dec 9.30am to 2pm

Thurs 27th Dec 9.30am to 5.30pm

Fri 28th Dec 9.30am to 5.30pm

New Years week:

Mon 31st Dec 9.30am to 5.30pm

Wed 2nd Jan 9.30am to 5.30pm

Thurs 3rd Jan 9.30am to 5.30pm

Fri 4th Jan 9.30am to 5.30pm
