And officers say the Class A drug, once seen as a drug used only by recreational drug users, is now being used by all sectors of society.
A garda spokesman said: "Our biggest problem at the moment is cocaine and we are back to boom times with it."
He said it is readily available on the streets as well as on the party scene.
During the week of October 4 to 11, there were nine drug dealing detections in Cork city division. Six were for cannabis, while three were related to cocaine.
None were related to heroin.
The use of cocaine powder in Cork has been increasing in recent years following the end of the recession.
