Be aware of the links between alcohol and cancer

Did you know that alcohol consumption is considered a risk factor for some types of cancer, and that limiting alcohol intake could reduce the risk?

Alcohol can increase the risk of cancer of the mouth, larynx (voicebox), throat, oesophagus (foodpipe), breast, liver and bowel.

The Cancer Research UK website provides a good overview of the research in this 2010 post, Alcohol Ireland also offers some sobering information about alcohol and cancer and the Irish Cancer Society offers some advice on how to limit your intake.
