Aiseiri under pressure as detox admissions rise 52%

The country's only residential addiction treatment service for young people is under serious pressure and will be unsustainable without Government help.

Aislinn, in Ballyragget, is run by Aiséirí, and is the only service of its kind in Ireland for people aged 15-21. Last year, there were 175 admissions to the adolescent detoxification and rehabilitation service — an increase of 60 individuals on 2014.
