Main priority for 2009 is protecting daily front-line services.

In a statement released after the details of yesterdays budget were announced, Minister Curran said: “With the reduction in the funds available to the Department my intention is to focus on the delivery of front-line services. Protecting these services through the use of efficiency measures in their implementation will mean that the communities will not have to bear the full impact of the reduction in funding.”
