Head shops ban will only benefit drug dealers.Banning synthetic legal drugs, on sale in alternative lifestyle shops, is a mistake and will simply create another layer to the illegal drugs trade, Fianna Fail TD Jim McDaid has claimed.

Judge had no idea he was head shop landlord.A judge known for showing no mercy to defendants on drug charges was apparently unaware he was the landlord of a so-called head shop that sells legal highs.

Minister Curran Responding to Headshops Threat.John Curran T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht with responsibility for the National Drugs Strategy, today told a conference on Headshops and “legal highs” that he is co-ordinating a Government response across various Departments to tackle the problems associated with the proliferation of headshops.
