NA Western Area event 1st – 3rd February 2019 Galway Bay Hotel

The Western Area service committee of Narcotics Anonymous Ireland covers counties Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Roscommon. On February 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2019, NA Western Area will be holding a weekend convention of events for members.  Most of the event is only open to members who identify themselves as recovering addicts.

However, the opening and closing ceremonies are open to all.

On Friday 1st at 8pm, a panel of four speakers from North, South, East and West of Ireland for whom the program of Narcotics Anonymous has worked in their lives, will share their experience, strength and hope. Similar to Friday evening, there will be a closing speaker ceremony where two speakers will share their experience.

Both the opening and closing meetings are open to members of NA, people with an interest in our program, service professionals who would like to know more about NA and for those who may think they have a problem with drugs. The aim of these meetings is to inform the community about Narcotics Anonymous, where they are, what they do and how they can help people who want to stop using drugs.

Speaking in advance of the event, the NA Western Area said:

"Within your professional or personal life, you may have encountered or know someone who may want to know about Narcotics Anonymous and our meetings. We would hope that by attending our convention you will be better informed about NA and should the situation arise feel confident about directing someone to our meetings”

You can find more information on the event here, by calling the Western Area Helpline on 086-814-9004 or by emailing na.western@gmail.com.
